Destiny empowers property investors to achieve their financial goals by providing professional services on a fee-for-service basis.
The business was established in Perth in 1994. At that time, founders Reuben and Margaret Lomas, had five young children and were surviving week to week with no prospect of financial stability in sight. From the spare bedroom of their home they developed a system to help everyday people, not unlike themselves, achieve financial security.
From their humble beginnings they built a strong base of loyal clients who began to prosper by adhering to their unique approach to debt reduction and property investing.
In 1996 the family packed up and relocated to the Central Coast of New South Wales. From this location the business has gone from strength to strength.
Margaret and Reuben Lomas lead by example, owning 35 properties of their own.
As a privately owned national company with 13 branches in 6 states, Destiny is uniquely positioned within the Property Investment Industry.
Destiny is an authentic company that operates in a transparent, honest and ethical manner (refer to Client Charter). These company values are mirrored by the founder of Destiny, the renowned property author and winner of the 2006 Telstra NSW Business Woman of the Year Award, Margaret Lomas.
The Property Investment Industry is fraught with unscrupulous organisations who too often adopt an opportunistic approach to business. The Destiny culture is very firmly focused on 'always working toward client success'.

Margaret was also the winner of the 2006 Telstra NSW Business Women of the Year and the 2006 Westpac Business Owner of the Year awards. Her company, Destiny also won the 2007 Australian Business Award for Best Value.
Margaret was born in Sydney in 1960. One of 5 children, she grew up in the south eastern suburbs, attending public school through until Year 12. Margaret was then selected as a Rotary Exchange Student and spent 12 months in Indonesia.
Margaret is a down-to-earth lady with 5 children, who certainly wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth. However, with commonsense and some trial and error Margaret, and her husband Reuben, have established a property portfolio totaling 35 properties. Amongst all the spruikers and hype-merchants in the property investment field, Margaret provides a grounded perspective based on sound logic.
Margaret is a qualified financial adviser and investment property adviser, is an associate with the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and regularly presents seminars around Australia to new and experienced property investors.
Margaret hosts Sky News Business channel's 'Your Money, Your Call' on a Monday night, she has her own show on Sky News Business channel called 'Property Success with Margaret Lomas' and also appears on the Nine network's 'Today Show' from time to time.
Apart from her television appearances, Margaret also participates in radio interviews and regularly contributes articles to newspapers and magazines including 'Australian Property Investor', 'Your Investment Property', 'Wealth Creator' and 'Your Mortgage'.
Margaret's business success has also lead to numerous requests for Margaret to attend business breakfast, lunch and dinners to speak for organisations including the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) and the Real Estate Institute of NSW.
